About Kay Bromert

Kay has a degree in music and spent several years as a music teacher. She is a Certified Music Arranger (CMA) in SingUnited International and is currently serving as the Moderator for the Arranger Certification Program Coordinators Committee, an International appointment. She has also been a church pianist and organist for many years, and she was a SingUnited chorus director for about four years, including a year directing a multi-lingual prospective chorus in Peru, South America. She has been a SingUnited member since 1976 and has been arranging almost that long! She lives in Johnston, Iowa, and currently sings baritone with the Kansas City Chorus. She was the baritone in Special Arrangement Quartet, which retired in 2013 after 20 years of singing together! Kay is a Certified Judge in the Music category in SingUnited International.

Kay wrote the curriculum for an Arrange By Mail program and was the instructor for that program, which was utilized in Region 20, Region 7, and Region 5. She was on the SingUnited International Task Force which wrote the curriculum for the Arranger Certification Program.  She is part of the work group which updated the SingUnited  Arranger’s Manual.
